  • Other attire than mentioned above is strictly prohibited from entering the ceremony hall.
  • a) Individual photograph for graduates will be taken by the appointed professional photographers while receiving the diploma holder on stage. This convocation photography package is already included in the Convocation Fee.
  • b) All matters pertaining to individual on-stage photo and photo delivery shall be solely handled by the appointed company. Graduates are to liaise with the company for any issues with regards to your convocation photo, not GMI.
  • c) Photos taken at any participating photo booth or photo studio outside the ceremony hall is not included in the convocation photography package.
  • d) During the convocation ceremony, graduates, parents and guests are strongly advised to remain seated at all times. Photo or video shoot is only allowed while at seats and seated.
  • All convocation robes must be returned at the KT 3, German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) after the ceremony. After then only you are allowed to collect your Diploma and Academic Transcript.
  • Graduates are responsible of their convocation robe themselves.
  • The GMI 25th Convocation Ceremony will be held in one day morning session at Dewan Gemilang Mercu Idaman, German-Malaysian Institute (GMI).
  • Graduates are required to gather at the designated time and venue, as tabled below:

  • a) Graduates will be guided to queue-up before the procession ceremony.
  • b) Late comers will not be allowed to enter the ceremony hall.
  • c) Upon entering the ceremony hall, graduates will be guided to their seating.
  • d) Graduates will be called by secretariats on duty to queue-up for Diploma giving ceremony.
  • e) Please show your respect to the ceremony by being silent and reducing your movement when in the hall throughout the ceremony.
  • f) No graduates shall leave the hall until the ceremony ends, unless it is an emergency.
  • Only graduates attending the Convocation Ceremony are allowed to collect their Diploma and Academic Transcript at GMI, only after returning the convocation robe.
  • This exercise is scheduled as follows:

  • Other than the above, graduates are allowed to collect their Diploma and Academic Transcript at Registrar’s Office (Student Services Section – Academic & Record Unit), GMI starting from 18 November 2019 (Monday) onwards (Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm).

Please take note that;

  • a) Student must settle all the outstanding fees.
  • b) No submission of hard copy, all correspondence must be by email only.
  • c) For CIMB account holder: to provide the new 10 digit account number.
  • d) Student must use the same e-mail to communicate/enquiry during the process above.
  • e) One email address for one student only. Do not email the info on behalf of your friend.
  • f) We will use your e-mail for notification on the payment to your account.
  • g) Please email us if the fund is not credited after 6 (six) months from the day you e-mail us your account number.
